Early Bird – 8th March

Whilst I am hard at work on the Cheltenham form, the day to day racing seems to have recovered from the weather and we are seeing more and more meetings on. This gives us some good betting opportunities coming up which hopefully can build our bank before next Tuesday.

2:10 Wincanton – Chasing Headlights

We start by following the money for an Alexandra Dunn horse. Often significant when the money comes, this horse has shown very little form on the track whatsoever. That is reflected in its handicap mark of just 75 though. Off the course for half a year hopefully this horse has improved for another winter and has surely been showing plenty of positive signs at home to be the subject of this plunge. Yard have had a couple of winners lately, lets hope they can be rewarded again.

3:15 Thurles – Lareena

Ruby Walshs first ride back after injury. You can rest assured that Willie would have picked him out a good one to ride to make this a successful return to the saddle after so long off. On form we have seen it still has a bit to find with Awayinthewest, who was 6th in the novice mares hurdle at Cheltenham last year. But, she has raced twice since and still not got her head in front. Lareena has found one too good the last twice but has fitness on her side and an inspired Ruby in her saddle. He will be determined to win this race.

1.5pt win Lareena @ 6/4 Betfair and Paddy
