4:00 Redcar – Carlton Frankie
Another horse I have been trying t get a win from this year as it clearly has the ability. Not disgraced in 4th first time up this year when beaten only 3/4 lengths. Then ran at the weekend but was 9th. However that doesn’t do its run justice as the first 7 home that day where drawn in double figures whereas this had led up from stall 3. With a top rated of 107 that day that is a much stronger race than what this is where Carlton Frankie gets to top the weights herself off 85 and so taking on considerably inferior opposition. Hood is given a try as well, it should be enough to get the win.

3:20 Leicester – Princess Harley
Caught the eye when 3rd behind a subsequent listed winner and a group 3 winner on her second start. Flopped on her third run but first one this year when clearly in need of it. Made her handicap debut at Newmarket when unfavoured by the way the race panned out. The winner made all and it was very hard for horses to come from behind and get into contention, so the fact she was held up out the back and eventually ran on for fifth shouldn’t be discounted. Yard form is fine, I think she is capable of causing a surprise here if the race is run to suit.

6:50 Brighton – Romaana
Silvestre De Souza is riding out of his skin at the moment, boasting a 27% strike rate from the last two weeks. Therefore you have to stand up and notice when, having ridden a full card at Lingfield he then heads to Brighton for the evening, just for one ride! That horse is obviously Romaana, a well bred filly who ran 4th on her debut at the backend of last season. De Souza has ridden three for the yard in the last couple of weeks, with two winners at 3/1 and 12/1 plus a close second at 11/4. Getting the fillies allowance if she has trained on, which the jockey booking suggests she has then she looks to have a fantastic chance in an open race.
