GM – 10th August

I have had several ‘Carlsberg Nights’ but last nights occasion was a most welcome one after last month’s loss of form.
Geelo Blissful ran a stormer to come from behind to win the Angel of the North, landing us the ante post money at 9/2.
All three individual selections at Monmore in the Gold Cup Heats won.
Bonito Amigo bolted out and destroyed his field by 11 lengths no less in the fastest time of the night.
Bubbly Bluebird railed well to lead around the first bend and score comfortably.
Ela Juliet landed me a very nice Trixie when she ran a remarkable race to win the Summer Stayers Final coming from behind Bombers Bullet on the run in.
King Elvis our ante post selection looked the part when winning his heat in the second quickest time.
A whopping 16.25 points profit from small stakes.
Romford & Central Park are the open race venues this evening.

Tonight’s Bets :-
Romford 8.06 Cookie Crossan 1 point win @ 9/2 Power & Betfair
Romford 8.53 Barricane Carina 1.5 points win @ 3/1 Skybet
Romford 9.09 Allowdale Hanna 2.5 points win @ 5/4 Bet 365
Romford 8.06 Cookie Crossan 1 point win @ 9/2 Power & Betfair
Heat 2 of a standard 400 competition appears wide open.
I’m keen to give a chance to Kevin Boons Cookie Crossan. Fair to say he’s not the most prolific winner but neither are his opponents. He’s a fast dog when getting it right at the boxes and he caught my eye winning well at home track Yarmouth last time out in good style.

Romford 8.53 Barricane Carina 1.5 points win @ 3/1 Skybet
Patrick Janssens bitch is coming to the boil nicely out of season and has won her last two starts in fine style. An A1 victory in a decent time at home track Central Park and then showing blistering early pace to win her heat of the Stayers Comp in the fastest time.
She can land the Final if repeating the early pace dose from the same trap six berth.
Romford 9.09 Allowdale Hanna 2.5 points win @ 5/4 Bet 365
June Harvey’s bitch impressed when winning her maiden stayers heat last year over Course and Distance but fluffed her lines in the Final. She’s improved since then and a slick sprint trial has set her up for this contest tonight, which looks well winnable.
