No Bets Advised Today
No open racing.
Last nights selection Black Eyed Hula won well as I expected.
However there was the dreaded non runner and she was returned 10/11f a massive difference from the advised 11/4.
Now Hills who went 11/4 have paid out at the early price in the past, I don’t know if they did so last night.
In situations where we have a non runner I prefer for the bet to be voided and then when firms re price up the race (not many do though) I decide whether to re-invest or not.
Bet 365 are the only company that let you cash out your original bet (most times in a profit when there’s a non runner as the price of your bet has contracted) and they also always re-price a race up. The rest are useless.
Non runners change the make up of the race. B365 went 6/4 after the non runner (who was a danger to Hula clearing the bend) so I would have bet 3 points win on her at 6/4 with that danger removed.
There is no rule four in Greyhound races.
Dave Clark commented on RPGTV last night that all firms should void bets where there are non runners in early priced races. I agree.
