Greyhound Derby Quarter Final Review
Most tipsters will tell you that a poor run will always run its course and come to an end.
In fact it was quickly put behind us with the 13 points profit earned from last nights selections.
Three out of four in the preview and the same with the forecasts.
Crossfield Will let the side down when mowed down by Borna Gin and he tied up so badly he failed to qualify. Wildfire Legend and Oi Oi Upenalty were the qualifiers.
Dorotas Wildcat landed my nap as I expected him to, evens was a steal as he went off 4/7. He did however ‘change his legs’ at the third bend (flat spot) before staying on up the run in again to hold Innocent Times, with Dorotas Vic the other qualifier.
Droopys Verve produced the performance of the night when trapping moderately and he had Bruisers Bullet right on his tail round the first two bends but he impressively drew clear down the back straight to score comfortably from Bullet with Saleen Ash filling the third spot knocking out Calico Ranger.
Rising Brandy was nearly as impressive in landing the last leg of our 9/1 treble in the last heat blasting from the boxes and holding Whoops Jack at the corner, then striding away to win well.
Jack & Bombers Bullet filled the semi final places.
There was no change to the fastest sectional standings with innocent Times setting the fastest at 5.15 last night.
* So we have Bruisers Bullet, Rising Brandy and Bombers Bullet still flying our ante post flag in Saturday’s semi finals. Only losing Calico Ranger last night.
There are a few opens dotted around today but nothing that raises my pulse, so no bets today.
