GM – Sunday 25th March
Last night’s Gold Cup Final went the way I thought and previewed last week.
Draws win races and trap five was insurmountable for Dorotas Wildcat and when King Turbo went to the bend inside King Elvis there was only one outcome.
Elvis stopped Wildcat at the first corner which also hampered King Kid.
Turbo then went on and won well from Calico Brandy who stayed on best for second.
So no returns for our ante post investment there.
Onwards & Upwards though…..
We have six heats of the Bunny Bookmakers Gold Cup over the 550 metres at Henlow this afternoon.
First heat looks Vinegarhill Ruby’s if she’s forward enough on her comeback after a lay off.
Heat two is a cracker with Roswell Romanov, Slippy Maggie, Master Kelly and Saleen Ash all contenders. Romanov to win on his trap one draw.
Heat three looks to be Russelena Reggie’s for the taking with main rival Garryglass Teddy on the comeback trail. Reggie looked back to his best at Hove.
Heat 4 looks a winnable one for Match Play with Blackstone Rock for the f/c.
Heat 5 I like Slaneyside Twirl if she comes forward from her moderate trial and returns to her maiden Gold Cup form.
All the above have question marks for me for the purposes of a single bet.
However in Heat six Maiden Gold Cup winner Inky Holdem has no such question marks and while I rarely advocate betting odds on shots – he looks a good bet at 4-5 and I think he should be a 1/2 shot.
Todays Bet :-
Henlow 15.47 Inky Holdem 2.5 points win @ 4/5 Bet 365
