GM – 4th June
Greyhound Derby Review
It wasn’t to be for our two ante post finalists Bruisers & Bombers Bullet who could only manage fourth & fifth in the final behind a very worthy winner in Dorotas Wildcat.
So we staked nine points Ante Post and made twelve with the two Bullets making the Final.
The Sectional market was a poor for a second year in the row, losing five points and note to self I won’t bother with it next year.
We also lost four points on the Derby Plate after sitting pretty with two finalists including the favourite but both were usurped by 14/1 shot Crossfield Giles.
Now our other ante post bet or was it?
Ashakiran duly hosed up and some firms have paid up other have dug their heels in and point blank refused. This is very disappointing and a disgrace!
My son was paid out by B365 but my heavier bet was paid at SP and my friend after a two hour phone call was paid out by Ladbrokes.
This should have netted us all six points profit.
The rest of the Derby supporting card nights bets netted us a small one and half points profit with Ridgedale Max and Innocent Times both winning.
Seems like a lot of effort this year for not a lot of gain but that’s just the way it went this year.
A small profit overall.
Nottingham tonight on RPGTV has a good card littered with short price favourites I can’t find anything at a price that I want to back. The short ones have all been backed even shorter.
So what’s the point in having a bet. I would rather wait for a better opportunity.
Patience is virtue!
No bets advised today.
