GM – 4th May – Romford
Just because the Derby is on I can’t let my favourite track go past without a bet.
With the better weather it should be a level playing field tonight, for a while now the rails have been badly disadvantaged. Proof that it’s better was that six trap ones won at the bags meeting yesterday!
With that in mind I think we can upgrade Oh Armani run in the heats of the maiden competition where he led until the fourth bend coming second. He had previously run well making the Gimcrack Final at Kinsley and while the fav Burma Bilko will be hard to beat in the Final but there are reasons to believe it can be done on the better going.
Also running on the worst ground last week in the standard final after being handed a trap one draw was Mark Wallis Cotton Pants. He looked sure to make the bend and clear away until he ran into the glue! He’s much better drawn tonight in trap four and I think he can make amends tonight.
Romford 8.54 Oh Armani 1 point win @ 3/1 Power & Betfair
Romford 9.26 Cotton Pants 1 point win @ 5/2 Ladbrokes, Coral, Bfair & Power.
