Not overly surprised that Fairyhouse was called off before racing began.
6:15 Kempton – Vice Marshal
Comfortable winner last time and whilst the second disappointed in its next run, the 3rd has run well since and is rated 4lb higher whilst the fourth went and won next time out giving it a strong feel. Was well backed before victory last time, it seems as though the penny has dropped with the horse suggesting therefore that a 6lb rise in the weights may be lenient. With the favourite having its first run of the year and disappointing when last seen, this looks a good opportunity for this horse to notch another win for this in form yard.

7:15 Kempton – Freebe Rocks
Been a revelation since a gelding operation. Yet to be beaten more than a length in five runs, winning twice. The last of these was probably the most impressive, shuffled back and losing its position, it duly stayed on to win narrowly, but this seeing just a small rise of 5lb in the weights. Clearly capable of more when things do go its way and has the right attitude. That remains to be seen of the favourite Revolutionary Man, who is sure to be popular with punters, making its handicap debut for a big yard having had a wind operation and a tongue tie fitted as well. I suspect that those kind of horses could well be overbet this year and it is important to stick with those with form in the book. None in the race have better than Freebe Rocks, it can therefore put that experience to good use.
