GM – 10th March

Romford Review
A mixed night of emotions for me. The night started well when my Newinn Trump won his maiden race in good style, we weren’t sure how fit he would be after a fortnight off, we had intended to trial him Tuesday but trials were cancelled. Delighted and hopefully more to come from ‘Donald’

In the Golden Sprint Headford Kev missed a beat at the start and couldn’t recover to qualify for the Final however our remaining ante post investment in the competition Kilmore Lemon sailed through in the fastest time.
In the Essex Vase Murrys Act performed miracles to qualify behind Roswell Romanov in a messy semi final where our other ante post runner Droopys Giorgio just missed out in third.
We have two strings to our bow however with Ridgedale Max making the final after finishing second in his semi final. Our 33/1 poke is unlikely to win it but fourth place will see a decent ew return.

I can’t believe I had another blank night back to back as well! The weather at the Essex track was as miserable as my selections.
Droopys Baggio never broke and never a factor, Romeo Mandate was involved in early crowding  again after a slow break and then Chop Chop Steve had lead boots on as he came out stumbling and then hit the rails at the first bend.

Tonight sees the Semi Finals of the Astute Gold Cup and a couple of other supporting opens.
Not going to have an individual bet just watch the action and cheer on our ante post runners.
Dorotas Wildcat & King Elvis in their respective races.
