GM – 20th April

Hove Review
The nationwide gamble wasn’t landed on Slippy Maska …..the early 3/1 and all prices down were hoovered up….She went off 4/5f.
A slow break and then being baulked at the first bend, left her with mountain to climb as she felt her way round the track, however she made up a lot of ground and looked like the winner until checking at the sixth bend. In the end she was beaten less than two lengths.
She will always have to do it the hard way but is a major player in the upcoming Recency competition.
Over to Romford tonight then to hopefully recover losses on Maggie, with two bets from tonight’s Finals from watching last week’s heats.
Bear in mind that last week had a massive wide bias and anything middle to rails that won must surely improve for a level playing field.
Frank Gray’s Ballymac Opinion impressed me last week on debut at the track, winning in a very good time and you would expect some improvement now he’s seen the London Road circuit.
He’s the answer to the maiden final with a decent start.
Martyn Wiley’s Mickeys Paddox was the only railer to win last week! U surely must mark up his performance and I want to be with him in the Maiden Stayers Final. He’s well drawn but he will need a little luck in running to secure the win with his coming from behind style.
Tonight’s Bets :-
Romford 8.38 Ballymac Opinion 2 points win @ 7/4 Coral
Romford 8.54 Mickeys Paddox 1.5 points win @ 3/1 Coral
