GM – 7th June
Hove and Monmore are where the open races are today.
I’m sticking with Hove and I have two bets for you this evening.
Now the 475 metre open is one contest I’m focusing on.
Fancied contenders Black Zack and Crossfield Giles could have problems to clear Benro Bertie if he starts as well as he can, he fairly flew out last week.
There’s a chance all the three middle runners could crowd going into the first bend.
My selection is Dusko Popov who can exploit a lovely draw on the rails. He’s been sprinting recently and with one of his better starts he can win this contest.
The other race I focused on was the 515 standard.
Now last week Droopys Bonucci showed his undoubted class to pick up Trade Fudge who wasn’t stopping after gaining a first bend lead.
Now unusually with no railers in this contest we have middle runner Sporting Dave in trap one and then five seeded wide runners with Droopys Bonucci in trap two.
Trade Fudge has his draw in six and he was under serious consideration to be the bet but the WIDE running Droopys Conor in trap four is a worry as he starts very well most times and he will definitely move wide on the run up. He could stop the dogs outside him.
The dog with the least questions to answer on the draw is Sporting Dave who should be able to sneak round on the rails to middle – he can break well and can clock a decent time if he gets it right.
Only Coral & Ladbrokes priced up.
Tonight’s Bets :-
Hove 7.51 Dusko Popov 1 point win @ 9/2 Coral
Hove 8.54 Sporting Dave 2 points win @ 7/4 Ladbrokes & Coral
